Diversity goes global

A look into an award-winning program developed to a

company broaden its understanding of diversity and inclusion.   


This award-winning Diversity program starts with a handbook. Using photos of employees, employee artwork, and employee quotes - we celebrate who we are as a culture. The handbook also contains a new Creative Process I pioneered to ensure Diversity is represented in all work.


The program itself is called Uniquely Merkle. This reminds us that Diversity is more than a buzzword - it’s a celebration of all the things that make us unique. Uniquely Merkle is comprised of 6 pillars, each focusing on an important facet of Diversity. Each pillar is featured bi-annually in internal communications along with an always-on content calendar.


A microsite on the agency intranet is the global hub of the initiative. Here, people can post articles, events, HR documents, and resources. Content is tagged by pillar and sortable by location. External content is regularly published by the Diversity Committee leads, and shared on the microsite.
